A lot of times, if you’re playing in a more professional group where your trumpet sounds have to blend with the overall orchestral setting, the right trumpet is one with a very warm and fat sound. That’s because the focus is not the trumpet playing, but the sound of the group as a whole. Blending is very important in any musical ensemble and you need to make sure that you have the right instrument.
