Preferred Techniques for Cleaning a Powder Brush
Every woman wants beautiful, healthy, and younger looking skin. Achieving this goal can be easily accomplished, but there are some things that you should know. Cleanliness is key! Our brushes are used everyday, and sometimes even twice a day. If you think about how much we use them you can then see how they can become so dirty and oily, which causes them to be a home to many harmful bacteria. If you do not clean your brushes at least once a week, you could be unintentionally causing breakouts and damage to your skin. If you have not been washing your powder brushes, you may want to start washing them today.
Bacteria is spread over your skin and into your pores, causing blackheads and pimples. Sometimes this bacteria can even get into the eyes, causing conjunctivitis. The only way to prevent these potential problems from occurring is to learn how to properly clean your makeup tools and brushes.
One of the easiest ways to clean your powder brush is by letting is soak in shampoo. Baby shampoo is a great alternative for any items that come in contact with your eyes. You can also use hand sanitizer or antibacterial soap, but there are special made cleaning products just for this purpose.
Before using any cleaning agents on your brushes, you must first remove any residual makeup, dirt, and loose particles with some warm water. Make sure your brush is completely wet and then apply your cleaning product of choice. Be careful when scrubbing your brushes, scrubbing too hard can damage or loosen the bristles. Then you can rinse your brush, making sure you get all of the soap out. If you do not remove all of the soap, your skin may become irritated. Try using a soap that does not contain harsh chemicals like baby shampoos, which are made for sensitive skin.
Once you have removed all soap, you will then need to reshape your brush or it may dry in an unusable shape. You will need to do this while the brush is still wet, and be sure that your brush is completely dry before you use it again.
Cleaning your powder brush and makeup tools takes very little time, and can prevent some serious skin problems. So, if having beautiful and more healthy looking skin is something that you want, you should try to work a cleaning routine into your schedule. Having perfect skin is worth a little extra effort, and it is only once a week.
